SpaceX and NASA are targeting Saturday, May 1 at 8:35 p.m. EDT, or 00:35 UTC on May 2, for Dragon to autonomously undock from the International Space Station (ISS) and splashdown off the coast of Florida on Sunday, May 2 at approximately 2:57 a.m. EDT, 6:57 UTC, completing its first six-month operational mission to the Station.
A series of departure burns will move Dragon away from the orbiting laboratory, followed by the vehicle jettisoning the trunk to reduce weight and mass to help save propellant for the deorbit burn. Once complete, Dragon will re-enter Earth’s atmosphere and deploy its two drogue and four main parachutes in preparation for a soft water landing.
Aboard the spacecraft will be NASA astronauts Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, and JAXA astronaut Soichi Noguchi, who flew to the space station on Dragon six months ago when Falcon 9 launched the spacecraft from historic Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Sunday, November 15, 2020.
Upon splashdown, the Dragon and the astronauts will be quickly recovered and returned to Cape Canaveral and Houston respectively. Once the mission is complete, Dragon will be inspected and refurbished for future human spaceflight missions.

(Isaiah 55:7) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Nasa is making a Space Station called the Lunar Gateway. It is going to be orbiting the moon and will be a key part in the SLS Orion Program. In later years, it will serve a purpose of a Mars gateway between Earth, Moon and Mars. A Mars gateway isn’t confirmed but it is very possible.

Those 2 could be use as fuel & supplies stations.

Will dragon fly on top of a SN 15 for a lunar lander... one lesson with the shuttle was lacking a way to get off the stack incase of lets say issues... And the fact landing something so tall... a abort on lunar landing would be a smart safety... if the stack has a hard landing... you have the option fire to orbit.. and hope you get get off before noise touchs arse ;) leave the core stage on the surface.... incorporate the legs higher up.... folded out.... you have a larger surface area for solar panels and radiators... as well as a Darkside to shield from the sun... leave it... add more in future missions... there is your lunar base. You would need a way to get dragon off the stack once on the surface... or could you fire off the stack without damaging it... or knocking it over.... should look as belly landing.... but you would need to have a sight cleared before hand.....

@Wojtek Sykurski geo politics are going to effect tesla going forward... Elon must anticipate this... major loses will be incurred in current investments.... if a space race is kicking off.... his interests should be garentee.... With how technology stands... no nukes needed... any vessel can be approximated... on sound alone this great big ocean can loss trade. Every nation has a grievance... we need all 3 talking... sitting down... expansionism is last century... Going forward... on a clean slate is a necessity... if not we will see a race...

@Wojtek Sykurski they are getting mass to orbit... and as a private company... that holds manufacturing world wide... the may have underestimated how fast politics can shoot a person in the foot.... they may be taking a major hit on earth bound activities.... to endeavor in the program... be smart to add a clause in future contracts.... may come to a point potential markets earth bound are a no go zone

@Collin MacInnis about Russians moving they new module (Nauka) from ISS to China station: it is possible. Seems that those 2 are on quite similar orbits. May best quest is that because of Global political situation Russia would try to work closer with China and abandon cooperation with NASA/ESA. On other site: ESA would try to cooperate both with NASA & China. About SpaceX and only cargo missions: please notice that this is first (and only) private company in world capable of: - sending peoples to LEO - landing first stages of their rockets: they are the only one in the world capable of doing that. It's hard to call those guys "beginners" in this business ;)

@Wojtek Sykurski on second thought... spacex should be focused on payloads to space.... skip the moon for now.... Seeing the Russian upgrades to the ISS this year.. and China putting up a core module... could Russia strategically withdraw from the ISS.... say undock and join with china... leaving ISS dead in the water as to say?

Editorial: Probably the most thought-provoking one-liner is "Eat right. Stay fit. Die anyway." It's sad but true -- no matter what you do, you will die. This is because you have sinned against God. Let's see if that's true: Have you ever lied (even once)? Ever stolen (anything)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we've only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. How will you do on Judgment Day? Will you be innocent or guilty? You know that you will be guilty, and end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He provided a way for you to be forgiven. He sent His Son to take your punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death. God promises everlasting life to all those who confess and forsake their sins, and trust in Jesus Christ. Please do that today . . . you may not have tomorrow. See John 14:21 for a wonderful promise. Then read the Bible daily and obey what you read. God will never let you down.Visit NeedGod.com

We know the Earth is flat and stationary we know that space x is a bunch of liars, working with Fallen Angel technology. We live in a geocentric universe fixed and immovable. CGI an amazing thing.. why don't you look up why all the pictures from NASA are photoshopped

With some EMUs and a wider hatch, together with a one time use mini-Canadarm on the trunk exterior it's high time a Hubble servicing call is considered for the Crew Dragon. There is a docking fixture on the Hubble aft bulkhead. Goddard's got work to do! :)

Elon isn’t the guy that runs this channel. But, I think you should continue from where you are at. If you want to work at a place like Space X, especially the rocket part, I recommend majoring in aerospace engineering in University if any university near you offers that program to you.

I think that some of the aspects of the SpaceX space suits design have a lot of room for improvement. The helmets are a little dorky, the tall black boots makes them look like they are city plumbers. Come on, make space sexy! We need to cater to the masses and gather not just support, but enthusiasm. The technology is amazing and it should be enough, but let’s not preach the choir. Kudos on your amazing achievementsSpaceX!
